Happy and Blessed New Year

YEAR-END GIVING  -  Must be received by December 31

If you are considering giving a year-end gift to Faith, it is a meaningful way to support our mission and enhance our community impact. Please know that all gifts must either be postmarked or received in the church office by December 31 to qualify for tax credit in 2024. Thank you in advance for your prayerful consideration in giving.

“Give to the Lord the glory He deserves! Bring your offering and come into His presence. Worship the Lord in His holy splendor.” 1 Chronicles 16:29

Here's what's coming up in the New Year . . . .

HAPPY NEW YEAR,  OFFICE CLOSURE – New Year’s Day, January 1, 2025

Please note that the church office will be closed on New Year’s Day, January 1. We will resume our normal hours of 9am to 4pm on Thursday, January 2. The staff wishes you and your loved ones a happy and blessed New Year.

UNDECORATE THE HALLS – Sunday, January 5, 12:15pm

We invite you to join us for lunch, followed by the task of taking down the Christmas decorations and storing them away for next year. If you’re able to lend a hand, please consider bringing a pair of gloves, as we’ll need to carefully pack the trees and wreaths back into their boxes. Thank you in advance for your support! We look forward to "undecorating" the halls together.

EXPLORING JOHN WESLEY’S THEOLOGY – Tuesday, January 14, 5:30 - 8:30pm, via Zoom

To understand Wesley's theology, two major influences must be acknowledged: Wesley's life story and his theological sources. This course will examine Wesley's life in historical context—Britain in the 18th century—and his dependence upon and creative appropriation of certain theological traditions. This course is part of the modular course of study for those considering a call to vocational ministry. Those taking this class for credit toward Clergy Development in the modular course of study will need to register with the District and pay $250 for full credit or $125 to audit the course. For those who wish to take the course for personal growth, registration is required to receive the Zoom meeting link. Simply click on the link below to register.
ALTER EGO: Becoming Who God Says You Are – Wednesday, January 15, 7 - 8pm, Portable #4

When we place our false labels and self-deception on the altar of God's truth, we discover who we really are as His sons and daughters because you are who God says you are. Until you've sacrificed your broken concept of identity, you won't become who you are meant to be. Instead of an outward-driven, approval-based ego, we learn to live with an "altar" ego—God's vision of who we are becoming. Hope you can join us for this four-week course. It’s free; there is no need to sign up—just show up!

MEN’S BREAKFAST – Saturday, January 18, 8 - 10am, Fellowship Hall

Hey guys! Join us every third Saturday of the month for our men’s breakfast! We will share some great food (even bacon!), encouraging conversation, and practical truths from God’s Word. There is no cost; however donations will be accepted at the door. So come bring your appetite and a friend and join the Men of Faith!
